A unique chance to meet cheesemaker Emilio Festa in a live interview with Italian cuisine specialist Angelo Tredicucci.

Emilio is an expert artisan cheesemaker based just outside Christchurch, he makes a variety of cheeses with milk from local cows, goats and sheep, and sell locally mostly in farmers markets. Last year his cheeses were praised (and bought) by Prince of Wales and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall.

Emilio will talk about the difference between cheeses made locally and imported, and the importance of provenience and naming of artisan products.   Cheese tasting included, and a chance to purchase selected cheeses on the day. This event is a prelude of the Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World (23- 29 November 2020) .

Sunday 22 November, time TBC (watch this space!)
