Italy comes to Auckland!

Festival Italiano is a not for profit community event and the largest Italian Festival in New Zealand.
The Festival showcases the best that Italy has to offer in New Zealand and is held under the patronage of the Italian Embassy.

The largest Italian Festival in New Zealand is back again in Newmarket, bringing a celebration of Italian culture, music, food, design and everything that il Bel Paese can offer in Aotearoa.

The Italian Festival Season in Auckland will begin on 17th September until 22 November hosting a variety of  Italian events in Auckland. The apex will be our popular street event Festival Italiano on 8 November from 11 am to 5 pm, covering Osborne Street, part of Kent,  Rialto Centre and Lumsden Green in Newmarket. The whole area will become pedestrian-only, hosting pop-up restaurants, food trucks and stalls, an Italian market, live music and entertainment, spot prizes, a kids’ area, Italian cars and motorbikes, and lots of surprises!

Festival Italiano is a not-for-profit event organised by the volunteers of the Dante Alighieri Society of Auckland in collaboration with Newmarket., with the generous support of the Waitematā Local Board  and under the patronage of the Italian Embassy in Wellington. The major corporate sponsor and partner for 2020 is Rialto Centre.
